A few months back I posted a Shop Shot titled “Häfele America Shop Shot: Millwork” and after several interruptions, like KBIS and a few other pressing events, our shop guys have pushed to get this display finished and ready to install. This was really an ingenious adaptation of a full room display from Häfele’s 2011 Interzum “experience”. Some might say “booth” or “exhibit”, but Häfele’s presence is always so much more than that!
Once designers have discussed the advantages of LEED and Green Design considerations, one challenge remains: conveying to their client the difference between and the effect of “cool” and “warm” colors on their dream project. With this in mind and to help our NYC-based customers, we are installing this display in our NYC Showroom. The opening on the far left and the far right are lined with identical white laminate, yet are illuminated with cool LEDs on the left, and warm LEDs on the right. (Click on pic to Biggie-Size it) The center opening is half white and half wood grain and is illuminated with Häfele’s warm and cool Loox LED lighting fixtures. Switching between warm and cool has an amazing effect on the ambiance and mood within the interior of the display, and literally makes a light go on over the consumer’s head every time.
This display will be installed and ready for you and your client in the first week of June 2012.
Nice work Marcel, Nathan and Stephan! Now you just need to tear it down, pack it up, drive it north and find a parking spot near the showroom. Good luck with that.
